Recently, following the complete removal of two spans of the SPMT overpass in the Guangzhou-Zhuhai section expansion project, a technological revolution that upends traditional bridge demolition methods has quietly taken place at the Shantou High-Speed Railway Station Hub Integration Project ramp bridge demolition site. Yongjie Equipment successfully completed the ramp bridge demolition task using its independently innovated "SPMT module vehicle + mechanical lowering" new construction method. This marks a leap from the first application to mature practice of this innovative method, setting a new benchmark for the industry.

Innovative breakthroughs in complex environments

As a key node in the integrated project of Shantou High-Speed Railway Station, this bridge spans the local first-class highway —— Taishan Road, with dense traffic flow. The main bridge's superstructure is a cast-in-place concrete box girder, while the substructure consists entirely of single-column piers. It is 440.4 meters long and has 16 spans, with each girder segment weighing between 260 to 400 tons. Moreover, the on-site pipelines are complex, involving up to 24 types of pipes for power, gas, communication, and water supply and drainage systems. Additionally, due to the presence of existing high-voltage lines, the beams awaiting removal must be repositioned before being transported to the dismantling site, with the highest point requiring a repositioning of 3 meters.

Faced with such a complex situation, the Yongjie Equipment project team, leveraging their outstanding innovation capabilities, independently developed the "SPMT module car + mechanical lowering" new construction method. Using three sets of module cars, they achieved single-span demolition, with an efficiency of one span per day. Among these, the mechanical lowering method precisely and efficiently addressed the height restriction issues for high-voltage lines, providing critical technical support for the smooth progress of the entire demolition project.

The first application and innovation of the new working method

As a new technical approach, the "SPMT module car + mechanical lowering" method was first applied in the Shantou project. Each lowering operation is a profound test of precision and safety. In the early stages of practice, the team continuously explored and accumulated experience, making meticulous adjustments and optimizations to equipment parameters and operating procedures. From initial cautious exploration to gradually mastering the rhythm of lowering, it takes an average of 30 minutes to lower by 50 cm.Compared to hydraulic equipment, this innovative method not only maintains the same operational efficiency but also significantly reduces operating costs, markedly enhancing market competitiveness. Behind these seemingly simple figures lies the result of repeated technical breakthroughs and relentless dedication. As the method continues to mature, lowering operations have become increasingly stable and efficient, earning high praise from clients.
