Recently, the steel truss girder integrated transportation and installation project for the Shanghai Hutong Railway Phase II High Bridge, contracted by Jiangsu Yongjie Special Equipment and executed by China Communications Construction Second Harbor Engineering Company Limited, has been successfully completed. This achievement sets two new national records: the largest span of a three-line curved chord under-supported simply supported steel truss girder in China, and the largest tonnage bridge in the SPMT integrated transportation category. The project has established an innovative benchmark for large-span steel truss girder transportation in urban complex environments.

This "span record" steel truss girder employs a dual-main-truss structure, measuring 154.8 meters in length and 21.28 meters in width, with 4,996 tons of steel used and a total weight of approximately 5,600 tons. As a key control project along the entire route, the bridge spans the heavily trafficked intersection of Yanggao North Road and Gangcheng Road, handling an average daily traffic volume of 53,600 vehicles. The structure is densely packed with 176 underground pipelines, with the closest point to the airport oil pipeline being merely 6 meters away. Transporting the steel girder is akin to "dancing on the edge of a blade."
