In April 2019, our company successfully completed the transportation operation of carrying 18 orbital cranes to Shantou for the first voyage.
In order to ensure the smooth progress of the ro-ro operation, our technical team formulated a rigorous and thorough transportation plan, with the cooperation of technical equipment and professionals, through SPMT (self-propelled modular transporter) ro-ro operation, 18 sets of rail cranes were loaded and shipped on schedule, and rolled off the ship after arriving in Shantou.
Rail crane size: length 42 meters, width 21 meters, height 33 meters, weight 342T
Transportation difficulties:
1. The track span is large (the maximum domestic is 42 meters), and the operation is difficult; SPMT arrangement space is small, and there are few lifting points
2. After the layout of the car plate, special tooling is required, accurate alignment, and the operation is difficult
3. The space of the transportation route is limited, and it is impossible to walk along the longitudinal direction, and the whole process is driven laterally
4. The equipment has high requirements for the ship, the whole orbital crane has a long sea transportation distance, and the sea state is complex. The sea binding requirements are very strict, the weld requirements reach UT2 grade weld, and 100% UT flaw detection is required
This project, after a lot of preliminary preparation, the technical department carefully analyzed and studied each link, formulated detailed project implementation rules, our project team with professional and accurate operation to make the rail crane smoothly on board and translated to the designated position, the whole operation process highlights our advanced large-scale equipment translation technology and professional collaborative operation strength!
