On the morning of April 15, the Kaiyang Expressway Reconstruction and Expansion Project used SPMT module intelligent transfer technology to simultaneously dismantle and erect overpasses for the first time in China, and 2 new overpasses were dismantled and built in 3 hours.
At 11 o'clock in the morning of the same day, 4 groups of modular vehicles drove to the new bridge beam storage yard next to the No. 5 flyover of Kaiyang Expressway, loaded and raised the new beam body assembled in advance, and the vehicle turned 90 degrees and drove 200 meters to the new bridge frame girder area. After precise positioning, the modular car gradually lowers the new beam body to contact with the flyover support, until the position of the beam body completely matches the four corner points of the support, the modular car unloads the beam body, and the erection of the new bridge is successfully completed. 10 minutes ago, four groups of modular vehicles used the same technology to dismantle and remove the main span girder body of the old bridge not far away. In addition to the demolition and construction of the No. 5 flyover, the demolition of the No. 3 flyover and the erection of the No. 6 flyover were also successfully completed on the same day.

In this task of demolishing and building the flyover, the new beam of the No. 5 flyover is the heaviest, 40 meters long, 12 meters wide, and weighs more than 700 tons, which is equivalent to the weight of more than 500 ordinary cars. "Since the weight of the beam body carried is about 500-700 tons, the balance of the beam body should always be maintained during transportation to avoid overturning. The four groups of modular vehicles must be synchronized when carrying the beam body, and the driving speed of the modular vehicles must be accurately controlled, which is about 8 meters per minute.
